Eragon Series
Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr (There is no "E" in it) was written by Christopher Paolini. Christopher is home schooled just like us. And started the books when he was only 15 years old.
Eragon is a normal farm boy from Carvahall. One day, on an ordinary hunting trip Eragon comes upon a strange stone, and takes it home. The stone brings trouble for Eragon and his uncle, Garrow and cousin, Roran. One dark night Eragon is awaken by a strange noise, he sees that the stone is cracking revealing a strange creature, a dragon! The dragon grows and grows! And Eragon builds a strong friendship with the dragon, whom he names Saphira. Strange people come looking for Saphira killing anyone who gets in their way, upon finding Eragon had the stone they kill his uncle and burns down his house. And Eragon is forced to flee with the town storyteller, Brom, who has a special interest in Eragon. On their journey Eragon is faced with many decisions; to fight with the Varden to destroy the evil Galbatorix, who tried to erase the dragon race, or join Galbatorix, the evil King, to conquer the rebel Varden! Eragon chooses the Varden and as a result is in many battles and deals with deaths of friends and family. Will Eragon defeat Galbatorix or die trying? I don't know, because Christopher will reveal this in the fourth book.
I recommend this book to people who like adventure and surprises! I really liked this book, for it has a great story line and it was well written. There was not a lesson to learn from this book. If you have seen the movie, do not compare it to the book, the book is better and they are very different.
Christopher Paolini and the man who plays Brom in the movie.
You did a great job giving a summary of this book! I liked how you mentioned to not watch the movie, because the book was so much better! What was your favorite part that made it better than the movie?
