The Kindly Wildcat
By: Kayla Noel Hebert

Once upon a time there was a little boy named John.Right now he was in search for his kitten Daniel. He started looking everywere. John hesitated a little as he started to look in the dangerous woods were his mother warned him about. All he thought that he was old enough to go by himself. At the foot of the woods he started calling Daniel's name. He went in the woods till he got farther and farther from home. He soon found out he was lost though he was to proud to admit it. Losing hope he settled himself on a tree stump throwing some leaves on it before he sat down. In the late August it was very windy and cold. All of a sudden after a time of peace and quiet he heard a huge ROAR! He looked and saw a cave he hadn't noticed before. There lay a wildcat cocking its head at him. It had roared to get his atention. The wildcat very curious about him. The wildcat ( which John called Levi.) seemed very content and happy to have company over. Levi, showed John to his house. There he saw Daniel run to him. Levi was pleased to see he had found his rightful owner. After days of being Levi and Daniel John's mother was very worried. John was thinking the whole time that his mother must be very worried. The next day after coaxing Levi to come with him the group of three set off. When they reached home John's mother ran to him. She almost fainted when she saw Levi. John told her that he was very nice and coaxed his parents in keeping Levi. They both agreed knowing he may be good for hunting, guarding the house etc. And now it has been a very good choice to keep Levi.

I Must Tell - James S. Stewart

This is the true story of James S. Stewart, a very godly man. James Stewart, (or Jimmy Stewart for thats what they called him) was a very good preacher at the age of fourteen, though this may sound very strange to you he was an evangelist. At first he played Soccer Football but his mother kept praying for him and he felt the conviction of sin and became a Christian. He quit soccer football and became a missonary. He went to many different places including Russia, and London. I think the neatest thing is when he was preaching he heard a lady sobbing as she became a Christian. A Christian worker said that the childrens father had died believing all his children would be saved and she was the last one to be saved.

The Bobsey twins Own little railroad- Laura Lee Hope

There was a family called the Bobseys. There children Nan, Bert, Freddie, and Flossie had found out that there neighbors had a railroad track and train that they didn't need anymore. They immediately went over there and said they wanted it so they got it for free. They fixed it and put the track in the peoples yard who gave them the railroad. They were the Dodges. When it was ready they went and played with it for hours. Soon they decided that they would have a party. After inviting 28 children they knew that only 6 people could fit at a time. Bert invited his friend Charlie. Bert was tired of running it so he taught Charlie how to use it. All the children couldn't wait to go on so Charlie had to start it. While they were going on a turn Charlie hit the wrong thing so the train which rolled down the hill. Everyone ran to see if the children were all right. They called there train The iron horse because it was in a barn. I liked this book because books that solve mysteries are my favorite.

A Doctor Like Papa-Natalie Kinsey Warnock

This story is about the sickness that spread badly in the 1918's and 1919's. It spread everywhere that parents were losing their children and children were becoming orphans. If you are wondering what the sickness is called it is Influenza. The main character in the story is named Margaret. Margaret's papa is the only doctor in the kingdom so it was hard trying to help people when they were dying so much because you have to come before the person dies so it was hard work. Margarets family never got sick. I'll tell you my favorite part its very funny all start: Someone called Margarets father because her husband died of the sickness she thought that her boy got it. When they came in the room there were pieces of plums everywhere. The boy was saying: I'm dying I'm dying! But here is the funny part actualy he had a stomacheache from eating to much plums. When I read this I laughed so hard.
I liked this book because it was funny and had a happy ending.

This story is about a mouse named Ralph. And of his loss of his motorcycle when it was crushed by a boy who went to the same school as Ralph's owner Bryan when they were fighting. But at least Ralph got a race car as pay back. If you are wondering what the boys name was it is Brad. Even though Brad thought that Ralph wasn't smart at all. But soon they became best friends when Brad realized how smart Ralph was. After Ralph tried out his race car he made sure his relatives had a turn.
